ISUDWOG

The mission of project Inclusive and Sustainable Development for Women and Girls (ISUDWOG) is to bring transformative change into the lives of vulnerable women and girls in Osmanabad district in India by building capacities of its civil society organizations to scale up their work, through partnership and engagement with social enterprises, private sector, cooperatives and social businesses.

Project ISUDWOG is funded and supported by the Eurpoean Union as part of its global objective of strengthening the ability of Indian civil society and its organizations to perform their role as independent agents of change, implementing actions that bring trans-formative change into the lives of women and girls.

our approach
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
The global objective of this is to strengthen civil society and its organisations in the district of Osmanabad, to be influent in the socio-economic development, through participatory bottom up processes, at benefit of women and girls (w&g).

Specific objectives:
1. Establish permanent partnerships (Alliance for Sustainable and Inclusive Development of Osmanabad-ASIDO) between CSOs and the other local public and private actors aimed at promoting inclusive, gender oriented, and sustainable development; 2. Increase the power and the participation of w&g in socio-economic life, also through strengthening or creating social enterprises; (3) Improve the access of w&g to the social and economic resources, facilitating a coordinated District Service System operating in the framework of ASIDO.

If you are interested in social development & entrepreneurship & working closely & learning from grassroots women entrepreneurs, farmers & leaders, then we have a place for you! We require Assistance in Developing Case Studies of our initiatives, household/village level assessments through door-to-door data collection, focus group discussions, market research for new products & services for women led business enterprises. Intern
Internship at Swayam Shikshan Prayog provides an opportunity for students to put their theoretical knowledge into practice & deepen their learning. We aim to provide students with an experience that will enhance their understanding of women’s rights & empowerment. When you intern with us, you get an opportunity to not just learn about the sectors we work in – women’s entrepreneurship, women-led climate resilient farming, energy, water & environment & health & nutrition, but get hands-on experience in training sessions & working closely with our team & women leaders to address the challenges they face on a day to day basis. You should be Minimum 18 years old; Studying in college or completed your course not more than 1 year ago; Able to commit to minimum 4 weeks for your project, 6 weeks preferred; Full time commitment preferred for the internship period; If interested, please write to us at: sspindia1@gmail.com
